TV Remote Control

The app “TV (Samsung), Remote Control” allows you to use your smartphone to control your Samsung television over the local network or with IR (if your Android has an infrared port). There are two options available: Network IP control (WiFi Direct / LAN) Compatible with C, D. E, F. K, and M (2016+) models. Not compatible with H or F models. Ensure that the TV you wish to use is on. Ensure your TV and mobile device are connected to the same network. Make sure your router has a privacy separation function. You can also manually enter the TV’s IP Address. You can find your TV’s IP address by going to TV: [Menu]-[Settings]-[Network]-[Network Status].

If the TV was not found, but after choosing the TV:

– You can change the confirmation message you received on your TV (“accept device”) if you refuse to accept it. You can disable the TV’s “accept device” screen by visiting eg. [Menu]- [Settings general]- [External device manager]- [Device connection manager] and changing [Access notification] -> “First time only”. – Please note that if a PIN code is required on your TV screen, this app will not work.

Built-in IR blaster

such as Samsung Galaxy S, HTC ONE, LG G3/G4/G5, Xiaomi Mi / Redmi / Note, Huawei Mate / Honor etc). – Tested on Samsung TV F and M models. However, it may also work with other Samsung Smart TV-s built 2005 or later. If so, please let us know and we will give you feedback. – Your phone’s IR blaster must be pointed directly at the TV. The usual working range is between 4-10ft (3-3 meters), maximum 5 metres. – Some phones may not be able to use the IR blaster if they are in power saving mode, or have a low battery. This app does not replace your original remote TV, but it is useful in emergencies (lost remote, empty batteries, etc). You can use it immediately without pairing your TV. If the app does not work with your TV or phone, please e-mail me with details of your TV and phone model. I will then try to add support on your phone and/or TV model.
