Parkmobile’s ParkNYC app allows you to pay for parking with your mobile phone in a new and improved way. ParkNYC’s mobile app makes it easy to start your parking transaction in just a few minutes. You can easily change your license plate number to activate your parking session if you drive a different vehicle than the one registered. You can also request a reminder before your parking passes.
You can access your parking data online securely so that you can track your parking expenses and modify your account settings. Exporting information is also possible for reimbursement purposes.
ParkNYC can be used at any of the metered spaces in New York City. Registering with ParkNYC is easy and free. You are not required to use ParkNYC.

Network Communication – This is required to communicate with parking servers.
Your location – This is part of the maps/GPS functionality
Phone state and identity can be read – This is used to automatically fill in the phone number when a new user registers
Your accounts – These are used to automatically fill in email addresses during user registrations
Camera – Useful for scanning QR codes stickers to park
Storage – To save app settings to your phone.
Control Near-Field Communications – Used to scan NFC stickers for parking
