****** A note on the microphone permission
I’m addressing a recent issue some users reported to me regarding a new permission appearing for Microphone and Camera recordings. Since the original release, I have not added any additional permissions. Google has changed how permissions are displayed to users. Since the beginning, the Camera permission has been my only permission. This permission is required to access the LED hardware. Google has bundled Microphone and Camera together because it makes sense for anyone making apps that use the camera.
My app doesn’t record or take photos. I am aware that privacy is an important concern for many users. Even if it could, it doesn’t have the ability to store any recordings (doesn’t have the storage permission), nor transmit any data over the internet. I am sorry for any concerns.
