You can trust a park ranger to guide you! The National Park Service App, the official app for all 420+ national park systems, is now available. Interactive maps, tours of parks, information about on-the ground accessibility, and other useful information are all available. This app was developed by National Park Service staff, who are experts in national parks. It will help you get the most out of your visit. It will take time to create content for all these parks, as well as a new app. You can still find the information you need by checking back frequently as our rangers continue to improve each park.

NPS Mobile is unlike other apps. It takes the authoritative information of park rangers and adds a wide variety of features. Let’s take a look at some of these features.

Interactive Maps: Each park includes a map with points of interest as well as roads and trails. This allows you to plan your trip.

Park tours: What’s there to see? You can take self-guided tours to see the most interesting spots in the park. You can find both popular and less-known spots. You have a guide to your journey, a ranger to help you plan your route, give you directions, and suggest things to do once you get there.

Accessibility: The little things, sometimes not so small, can make or break your park visit. Find out where to find transportation, food, toilets, shopping and other amenities.

Accessibility: This app provides a fully accessible experience that includes tools that can be used to assist visitors with accessibility issues, such as audio descriptions for exhibits on trails and roads or in visitor centers.

Offline Use: No internet access? It’s no problem! It’s possible to download entire parks as a PDF for offline use. This is especially useful if you are traveling to remote parks or have data limitations.

Share your visit: Tell your family and friends about the great things you did. Create and share virtual postcards featuring scenes from the park.

Things to Do: What are you looking to do in a park hike? You can take a scenic bus tour. Visit a museum? Participate in a ranger program You can become a junior ranger. Explore all that parks have to offer, including the entertaining and educational aspects.

News, Alerts & Events: What’s new? Find news and events from all parks or selected parks.

This is just the beginning! NPS Mobile App also provides information about passport stamp locations, fees and visitor center hours and locations.
